heating

Our low carbon district heating is served by the naturally superior, constant temperature subsurface water; a renewable, latent energy that improves the efficiency of the heat pumps we engage

District Heating

“I believe we should leapfrog over gas-powered combined heat and power [CHP] and go directly for heat pumps”, Professor Sir David MacKay.

One concept that is attracting widespread and growing interest is Aquifer Thermal Energy Storage (ATES) which capitalises on geothermal energy for economic reasons and to assist with decarbonising space heating and cooling.

TELESIS IS AHEAD OF THE GAME HERE.

A Heat Pump heating scheme critically depends on the resilience, cost and quality of the Heat sink.

For optimal Ground Source Heating and cooling, deploying TELESIS will accomplish for UK operations COP 5.5 and above. We additionally accomplish unparalleled resilience, minimal maintenance and optimal sustainability.

The largest heat production of a single TELESIS system deployed in the UK is in the order of 53MW

Our low carbon district heating is served by the naturally superior, constant subsurface water temperature; a renewable, latent energy that improves the efficiency of the heat pumps we engage.

Horticulture

Low cost, energy efficient heating using the intrinsic latent heat of the water from below the seabed provides optimum growing conditions for a host of horticultural applications e.g. Industrial greenhouses.

This solution is capable of synergistic integration with other utility services for increased benefits for all.

Heating and Cooling services may be combined for further synergistic benefits.

MOST SUSTAINABLE

TEIR 1: Energy Demand Reduction.

TEIR 3: Utilisation of Renewable & Sustainable Resources.
TEIR 2: Energy Efficiency.

TEIR 4: Utilisation of Other Low GHG Emitting Resources.

TEIR 5: Utilisation of Conventional Resources, as we currently do.

LEAST SUSTAINABLE

Accomplishes both Tier 2 and 3 objectives simultaneously.

Our Low carbon district heating is served by the naturally superior, constant subsurface water temperature, a renewable latent energy (Tier 3) that improves the efficiency or COP [Coefficient of Performance] of the Heat Pumps we engage (Tier 2)

Telesis Advantages

abstracted water from below the seabed has an inherent latent energy which can be leveraged by a host of utility services

Cheaper

ONE-THIRD OF ALL ENERGY USED IN THE UK IS SPENT ON HEATING. Telesis water abstraction used in conjunction with heat pump technologies can reduce this energy usage.

Cleaner

heating uses 50% of the world's energy and creates 30% of the emissions. Telesis facilitates the optimum exploitation of geothermal energy for economica and resiliency reasons but, above all, to make a significant contribution to the global fight against climate change by reducing carbon emissions.

GREENER

Telesis capitalises on nature's own renewable store of energy; a 24/7 nature-based, inexhaustable resource that does not require storage contingencies and has no unpredictability (wind & waves) nor intermittency (solar) issues. The geothermal energy we harmlessly acquire serves as the engine for telesis heating which capitalises on this resource with net beneficial environmental impact.
