Telesis Synergy
A nature-based solution to
the world's increasing demands for
food, water and energy.
Desalinate

We transform Desalination from destructive discredited and unaffordable to environmentally harmless and with production costs that are ≥ 50% lower than the next best available option

DESALINATION
THE ECO FRIENDLY WAY
Cooling

In Sub tropical and tropical latitudes, where our subsurface water temperature is constantly lower than the above surface ambient air wet bulb temperature, we are able to deliver the optimum, nature-based, renewable free-cooling service.

COOLING
IDEAL FOR
DATACENTRES
Heating
HEATING
LOW CARBON ENERGY

In northern latitudes, where our subsurface water temperature is constant and higher than the on-shore ground water temperature that would otherwise be utilised. Consequently, we are able to accomplish superior, low cost district heating.

Integrated synergy

Uniquely able to integrate TELESIS nature-based utility productions in one holistic, synergistic process takes the TELESIS advantages to an unparalleled magnitude of order.

SYNERGY
Telesis Desalination

Nature-based as the sand of the near off-shore seabed is the natural filter media through which TELESIS water is abstracted

  • Perpetually and highly effectively maintained by the dynamic actions of the seas above; waves, tides, currents and storms.
  • Naturally Purified
  • No need for the expensive, destructive processes associated with open intake solutions
  • Chemicals free: Biocides, coagulants and other chemicals are unnecessary
  • The constant, year-round subsurface temperature and its variance with above-ground temperatures create latent energy opportunities.
  • Our subsurface water has constant diurnal and yearly temperature
  • TELESIS customises solutions to align with the project’s geographic and climatic conditions

TELESIS can be deployed discretely and unobtrusively, serving utilities without any aesthetic issues. This discrete benefit, combined with our significantly reduced plant area footprint, facilitates the retro-fit introduction of TELESIS to within conurbations.

  • TELESIS is available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year delivering municipal / industrial scale supplies of naturally purified feed source water at a year-round constant temperature.
  • Resilient. TELESIS is impervious to shut-down events. Nothing that occurs above ground can impact on the abstraction of water from the saturated offshore sands.
  • Incomparable life-cycle. Our indestructible subsurface HDPE pipes will perform over a life-cycle measured in hundreds of years; for as long as the water above exists.

WHY IS TELESIS BENEFICIAL AND WHAT'S UNIQUE ABOUT IT?

Telesis Synergy Systems (TSS) is a global utilities provider that delivers our services through full turnkey Design and Build contracts with optional Operate and Maintain services.

TELESIS is a new way of doing things: a nature-based solution using subsurface water as the engine for new, innovative, holistic, synergistic solutions. Our clients are typically Governments, Municipalities, Agriculture and Aquaculture operators and Industrial enterprises such as Mining, Food & Beverage, Horticulture and Datacentres.

Irrespective of whether we provide standalone utility production or an integrated suite of utility services, our unique,  water abstraction technology ensures, unparalleled benefits. TELESIS is a step-change improvement on tried-and-tested pre-cursor versions built by the founder of TSS, Ron Daniel and satisfies all challenges and criteria of the IUCN definition of NATURE-BASED SOLUTIONS.

THESE UNPARALLELED BENEFITS ARE LARGELY THE RESULT OF THE FOLLOWING FOUR PARTICULAR ATTRIBUTES OF TELESIS:

Irrespective of whether we provide standalone utility production or an integrated suite of utility services, our unique, patented, water abstraction technology ensures unique, unparalleled benefits.

1. Feasibility

Go / No Go assessment,                          Pre-Construction site survey

The viability of utilising TELESIS is determined by the early stage geo-technical analysis of the project site.

Geo-technical Go / No-go Test

  1. Are there sufficient volumes of sub-surface sand?
  2. Is the rate of re-charge of the sub-surface sand adequate?
  3. Is there a subsurface stratum of hazardous bio-geochemistry and can it be avoided?

If any answer to Q1-3 is “No” then TELESIS will not proceed and we withdraw from the project without any costs incurred.

In the much more probable case of the answer to all three being “Yes”, the project can proceed with the certainty of success. The deployment of TELESIS and all its associated benefits is de-risked.

2. Design & Build

TELESIS System delivery

With the recharge rate data available from the Go / No-go tests and supplemented with Geomorphological information [Bathymetric studies, sedimentary details, etc.] we can design the layout of our intake.

With permits in place, we can also proceed with mobilising our Civil and HDD Contractors on-site, the location of the on-shore intake chamber.

We deploy our pre-designed patented intake drains (or
screens) in the quantities necessary to acquire the feed-source water quantity required to serve the downstream process.

These off-shore subsurface drains terminate within the newly formed on-shore Intake chamber and are connected thereto common Headers and the intake pumps.

TSS design the launch pit which will later double as the permanent intake chamber. We also design the associated intake pumps, valves and controls systems located within the intake chamber.

3. Integrated Utility Production

SINGLE SOURCE SYNERGY

The water we acquire is passively drained from the saturated off-shore sands at a rate that is marginally lower than the natural recharge rate of the geology of the seabed.

It arrives at our intake chamber with the 4 qualities: naturally purified, containing intrinsic energy, discrete (below ground, invisible) and with unsurpassed resilience as well as the numerous attributes all detailed above.

These key attributes form the inexhaustable engine for the game-changing improvements in the production of utilities and services.

  • CHEAPER – More than 50% cost reductions for both cooling and desalination
  • CLEANER – Our benign operations facilitate eco-system recovery, chemicals-free effluent
  • GREENER– CO2 reductions ranging from Low – Net zero

SYNERGISTIC ADVANTAGES THROUGH INTEGRATION

In every field in which we are applied, each standalone TELESIS utility and/or service is superior to the next best available option. We have incomparable sustainability (inexhaustible and environmentally benign) unrivalled resilience (impervious to shut-down events) and unsurpassed economics.

The aspect of TELESIS that especially places us ahead of the field is that we are uniquely able to facilitate the integration of these utility productions in one holistic process.

By capitalising on the synergistic qualities of multi-utility productions – that share, in series, the TELESIS subsurface feed-source water,
that supplement one another such that the combined benefit is greater than the sum of the parts – we achieve unique, unparalleled levels of efficiency.

The quantity of water we acquire will be directly related to the production capacities of the utilities we deliver. The upper limit of one TELESIS system is typically the volume need to satisfy a desalination process of 80,000m³/day product water with a 160,000m³/day TELESIS subsurface feed-source water.
